This month I got my Julep Maven Bombshell Box. I figured it was probably best to dedicate a post individually to each polish I received. That way I can showcase them in all their glory.
If you’re unfamiliar with Julep, here is a bit about the program:
As a Julep Maven, your monthly subscription of only $19.99 delivers exclusive access to at least $40 worth of products handpicked to suit your style.
Perks of Julep:
- Love what they’ve chosen for you? Do nothing and your box is on its way. Want to try a new style, send your box to a friend or skip the month (and the bill)? Just log into your account between the 20th and the 24th to submit your request. I love that if I’m not too crazy about the colors I can skip or change the box to a different one.
- Enjoy 20% off all products plus free shipping.

better representation of color
Pictures show a base coat (ORLY Bonder), 2 coats of Karme, a top coat (Seche Vite).
This formula is full of glitter so it made it a bit more difficult to apply, but it wasn’t hard, just not as easy as I’d like. And of course because of the glitter, it made it harder to take off. It definitely spread better on the second coat, than on the better nail.
It’s a nice glittery red, but I felt the gold/orange was a bit too pronounced against my skin tone. It would probably be better with someone not as pale as me. I really love the different colors going on at the same time though.
I’m sad this is a glittery polish, I’d rather it be a shimmer, but that’s a personal preference. It’s a great color and I love the different colors going on. However, the gold/orange came out a bit too much for my taste with my skin tone.
